Fort Oglethorpe Fire & Rescue and Fort Oglethorpe Fire Department along with the City and County Agencies, consists of a group of unified professional personnel committed to preventing disastrous incidents from occurring to life and property and to minimize the effects of such incidents should they occur.

We accomplish our goals through prevention, proactive education, training, fire suppression, medical emergency first response, hazardous materials mitigation, and other related emergency and non-emergency activities.

The Mission of the Fort Oglethorpe Fire & Rescue (Post Volunteer Fire Department, Inc.) and Fort Oglethorpe Fire Department, as a component of the City of Fort Oglethorpe and Catoosa County Emergency System, is to provide primary protection, suppression and emergency medical services within the service district.  In the event of an emergency, our focus is to respond expeditiously to save lives and minimize property and environmental damage.

We are committed to excellence and safety, and will continually strive to improve our responsiveness, efficiency, and community orientation that will project the image of being the best-managed fire and rescue department in the City of Fort Oglethorpe, Catoosa County and North Georgia.
